Why I Am Doing This?

I lost my 17 year old daughter Raquel to suicide in June of 2020. Since this was in the middle of Covid there was only online support. I have never in my life felt so alone and isolated. I found that being around people who had also lost loved ones to suicide and who understood helped me more than anything. I recently was looking and I have been unable to find any in-person support groups in Calgary for those that have lost loved ones to suicide. I started an online Facebook group and have also started an in-person peer led support group once a month.
